Forty-year-old US President Joe Biden lifted travel bans on Muslim countries as soon as he arrived at the White House, signing 15 executive orders, including a bill to restore the Paris climate agreement, declaring it mandatory to wear a mask on federal property in the United States.
White House Press Secretary Jane Sackie briefed the media on the details of the president’s decision, saying President Biden would call Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Friday.
Joe Biden revoked Trump’s emergency declaration that helped fund the construction of a border wall. Biden also lifts a travel ban on some majority-Muslim countries.
A bill to restore the environmental agreement and a bill to wear mandatory masks on federal property have also been signed. Most of his orders are aimed at ending former President Donald Trump’s controversial policies.
