Twitter enclosed the account of the US Embassy of China for a tweet that defended China’s policies in the Xinjiang region.

The Chinese Embassy account, @ChineseEmbinUS, posted a tweet this month that said that Uighur women were no longer “baby making machines,” citing a study reported by state-backed newspaper China Daily.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China said the allegations were unfounded and wrong.

Step Twitter also follows the locked of the account of former US President Donald Trump, who has 88 million followers, with the reason for the risk of violence after his supporters invaded US Capitol this month.

Twitter had locked the Trump account, requesting the removal of several tweets, before restoring it and then released it after the former president violated the platform policy again.
