Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said that the time is not far away when everyone in the country will be following former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s narrative.
Addressing a rally on Monday in Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Leepa Valley ahead of July 25 elections, Maryam said that her father is a patriotic Pakistani and his criticism should not be considered against institutions but rather against certain people.
She said that a few individuals create propaganda against the former premier. However, his only crime is refusing to talk about the well-being of the masses.
“If the country is to move on the path of prosperity then the narrative of Nawaz Sharif needs to be adopted… the time is not far away when everyone will be following it,” she said while addressing the participants.
Talking about the July 25 elections in the liberated valley, she said that the spirit being shown by the people of AJK suggests that Sher (lion) — PML-N’s party symbol — is going to rule the region once again.
“That vote thief has now set his eyes on Kashmir [elections] but Imran Khan cannot compete with Nawaz Sharif… despite being in the government for three years, he is still hoping to win via rigging,” she added.
