ISLAMABAD ( REPORTBEAT ) – The process of vaccinating people aged 60 and above has started across the country. Secretary Health Punjab Muhammad Usman said that 104 vaccination centers are functioning at district and tehsil level across the province. A total of twenty vaccination counters have been set up at the Expo Center.
The process of corona vaccination of people above 60 years of age has also started in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to KP Health Department, people over 60 years of age are being vaccinated in hospitals. More than 4,000 senior citizens have registered for the corona vaccination. The first priority will be to vaccinate people over the age of 80.
Like Punjab and KP, the process of vaccinating senior citizens against corona has started in Sindh.
According to the Sindh Health Department, an SMS is being sent to senior citizens over the age of 60 who have registered to be vaccinated. Senior citizens can get vaccinated by visiting the relevant center.
Asad Omar, the federal minister for planning and head of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), said the vaccination process would be age-appropriate. This means that older people who have registered will be vaccinated first.
