ISLAMABAD ( REPORTBEAT) In the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the Election Commission was informed about the dates of local body elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The reply submitted by the Election Commission to the Supreme Court said that there will be phased elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in the first phase local body elections will be held on April 8, in the second phase elections will be held on May 29. The announcement will be made on February 12 and the second phase on March 25.

In the first phase, local body elections will be held in Punjab on June 20, in the second phase on July 16 and in the third phase on August 8.

According to the Election Commission, local body elections in Punjab will also be announced in phases, the first phase will be announced on April 12, the second phase on May 18 and the third phase on June 2.

According to the Election Commission, the local body elections in the cantonment boards will be held on April 8 and May 29. The first phase of the elections in the cantonment boards will be announced on February 12 while the second phase will be announced on March 25.
