Riyadh ( reportbeat ) – Arab coalition forces have thwarted eight Houthi rebel drone strikes on Saudi Arabia in the past 24 hours. Two drone strikes targeted the Saudi cities of Jazan and Khamis this morning, but they were destroyed in mid-air. No casualties were reported.
On Friday, Houthi rebels launched six drone strikes on the Saudi city of Khamis Mushait, which were destroyed in mid-air, according to Arab coalition spokesman General Turki al-Maliki. He said Houthi rebels were deliberately targeting civilians, but that coalition forces were on full alert to protect civilians.
On the other hand, recent drone strikes on Saudi Arabia by Houthi rebels have been strongly condemned by the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan and Kuwait. All countries have fully supported Saudi Arabia in its fight against the Houthi rebels.
