Peshawar ( reportbeat ) – Peshawar High Court orders closure of short video sharing app TikTok from today.
During the hearing on the petition filed against the most popular app TikTok across the country, the Peshawar High Court has ordered to close the TikTok application from today.
During the hearing, Chief Justice Qaiser Rashid Khan said that the videos uploaded on TikTok are not acceptable in our society.
Chief Justice Peshawar High Court said that obscenity is spreading in the society through TikTok videos so it should be stopped immediately.
Justice Rashid inquired from the DG PTA whether the social media app would be affected if it was banned.
Replying in the affirmative to the court, the director-general said that, “we had requested the management of the app to control immoral content but no positive response had been received so far”.
