Islamabad (REPORTBEAT) – The founding team of the famous Turkish drama series Ertugrul, led by Kamal Tekdin, met with Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz, Chair of the Kashmir Committee Shehryar Afridi and the Personality of the Turkish and Pakistani film industry.
The meeting discussed in detail the proposed television series was created in collaboration between Turkey and Pakistan in the Khilafat movement.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said on the occasion that Pakistani drama was known throughout the world until the 80s. The film industry and Pakistani drama need to work to promote local culture so that young people can know their true culture.
He added that if the film Pakistan and the drama industry broadcast quality local production, it will not only grow but also provide the younger generation as an alternative to the production of other shallow and glamorous countries.
The prime minister further said that the Muslim rule in the continental was the golden era but unfortunately the young man did not realize it. He said that efforts must be made to fight propagandistsby making film and drama in this golden age.
