President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that there are more than 300,000 English speaking IT professionals in Pakistan due to which there is no problem of language. The government is providing incentives to the experts in this field while thirteen software technology parks have also been set up for IT investment.
Addressing the Asia-Pacific Advanced Network Summit, President Dr. Arif Alvi further said that steps are being taken to fully digitalize the economic system in Pakistan. For this, a comprehensive liberal policy was adopted for the telecommunication sector in 2003.
Dr. Arif Alvi also said that the demand for IT graduates is increasing rapidly. The Higher Education Commission is providing adequate education opportunities to graduates in all fields, including IT. Corona has affected the education sector, but information technology has flourished during this period.
