Now we will not allow anyone to disturb the peace, Army Chief

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday stressed the need to remain vigilant against hostile attempts to reverse the gains of Operation Radd ul Fasaad.

The army chief’s comments, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), came during his visit to the North and South Waziristan districts today.


According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa paid an important visit to South and North Waziristan on Tuesday. Corps Commander Peshawar Lt. Gen. Nauman Mahmood received the Army Chief.

During the visit, the Army Chief was briefed on border management, ongoing operations for bringing stability in the area, area development and opening of border corridors.

Addressing the occasion, Army Chief said that Pakistan Army is committed to peace and stability in the region and it is playing a role in enhancing the capabilities of law enforcement agencies.

According to ISPR, the Army Chief also met the tribal elders of Mir Ali and appreciated the sacrifices of the tribal people in the war on terror.

In his address on the occasion, General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that peace has been widely established in the tribal areas and no disturbance in this regard would be allowed. Complete peace will be restored with the cooperation of the local population, COAS said.
