Japan declares a state of emergency for Tokyo as a surge coronavirus cases

Japan expressed an emergency in Tokyo and the three nearby areas on Thursday because the Coronavirus case continued to surge, reaching a record daily 2,447 in the capital.

Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga issued a declaration on the Government Task Force for Coronavirus. It lasted from Friday to 7 February, and centered around asking for restaurants and bars to be closed at 8pm. And people to stay at home and don’t get along in the crowd.

The declaration not bring any punishment. But this serves as a strong demand while Japan juggles to maintain its economy.
