Israeli hacking software was used to spy thousands of people including Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.
According to the sources, international media had gained access to more than 50,000 mobile phone numbers including the mobile phone number used by PM Imran Khan.
“The foreign media reported that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government used Israeli hacking software to spy the mobile phones of its opponents,” it added.
They hacked the data of journalists, lawyers and actors, while hacking the mobile phones of those who raised their voices for the lower class. The American newspaper has confirmed the identities of more than 300 Indians involved in hacking the data.
On the other hand, after the reports surfaced regarding the attempts to hack the phone numbers of those in sensitive positions in Pakistan, now work is underway to develop a special application to prevent it.
According to sources, the Ministry of Information and Technology has completed 60 per cent of the work. “People in sensitive positions, including the prime minister and cabinet members, will use this application.
The government sources say that the country is aware of hacking attempts by the enemy forces. “We will complete the development of the application in a few months and submit a report to the premier,” it added.
“The new application is being developed on the same pattern of WhatsApp but no foreign interface will be used in the development. The application will not be available for public use. This application will be designed keeping in mind security and cyber attacks,” the sources further maintained.
