KARACHI (REPORTBEAT) – Islamabad United defeated Karachi Kings by five wickets in the sixth match of sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at National Cricket Stadium in Karachi on Wednesday.
Islamabad United have won the toss and elected to bowl against Karachi Kings.
The defending champions were off to a fantastic start in the 2021 Pakistan Super League (PSL) as they defeated the Quetta Gladiators in the first match pretty comfortably. The bowlers restricted the Gladiators to a paltry total and chased it down easily.
While Islamabad United on the other hand too had a similar start to their PSL 2021 campaign as they defeated the Multan Sultans by 3 wickets to open their account with a win in their first game.
On the bowling front, it was Mohammad Wasim who played a critical role for Islamabad in restricting the Multan Sultans side to a total of 150. The right-arm pacer scalped 3 wickets in his 4 overs and gave away 29 runs. And, he also took the crucial wicket of the Multan skipper, Mohammad Rizwan.
