Captain All-format Pakistan Babar Azam prepares to take the field against South Africa after skipping the Twenty20 International (T20i) series and tests in New Zealand who have just concluded due to a thumb injury. Babar took the lead ahead of the home test series against Proteas, starting from January 26 in Karachi.
“Very disappointing to skip the match against New Zealand because the team needed my service. However, I am now ready for the South African series and you will see me in action. I have also started practicing after fully recovering from injury,” said Babar. “The whole team is excited for the series against South Africa. South African series will be a very important series for us,” he added.
