LAHORE ( REPORTBEAT )- A two-member bench of the Lahore High Court heard the bail plea of ​​Hamza Shahbaz in a money laundering case.

Yesterday, Hamza Shahbaz’s lawyers had argued that the indictment was issued 17 months after Hamza’s arrest.

Bail plea pending in SC for 10 months, The Supreme Court has ordered to hear the oldest NAB cases on priority basis. The Supreme Court has given relief to the accused in NAB cases after a delay of 20 months.

The NAB prosecutor had said in his arguments that if the NAB was given six months time, the trial of the case would be completed. With five new courts coming up in Lahore, this seniority issue would be resolved.

It may be recalled that NAB is investigating money laundering and assets in excess of income against Hamza Shahbaz.
