An illegal plot allotment reference against Mir Shakeel was heard in the accountability court in Lahore. The court fixed January 28 for indictment of Mir Shakeel.
NAB reference, all the properties of Mir Shakeel’s co-accused former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif were frozen.
NAB investigating officer Abid Hussain while presenting the report of Mir Shakeel’s co-accused Nawaz Sharif’s property in Pakistan have been foreclosed. The report of the concerned departments has also been attached.
The court also summoned co-accused Humayun Faiz Rasool at the next hearing. In the NAB reference, Mir Shakeel, Nawaz Sharif, former DG LDA Humayun Faiz Rasool and Bashir Ahmed have been found guilty while Nawaz Sharif has been declared a fugitive for not appearing despite summons.
Special Prosecutor Haris Qureshi appeared on behalf of the NAB and said that the accused Mir Shakeel, with the connivance of the then Chief Minister Nawaz Sharif, had acquired 54 plots of one canal in the same area in violation of the 1986 exemption policy.
